Three colors of poppies appeared this morning, adding brilliant pops of red, peach and pale pink to the iris and spiderwort-filled flowerbed. There is something really special about the paper-thin petals and the deep black centers. I couldn’t resist going out at 6:30 a.m. and getting a few photos.
Gorgeous poppies….we think alike; I have a poppies post for tomorrow!
Oh how fun Frances, I’ll be watching for your poppy post!
Beautiful colors you have, they are my favorites. We have a light salmon, too, but I think the slugs have eaten it up, sigh, no photos. Have a nice day, regards Mitza
Thank you Mitza. Sorry to hear about the slugs!
How absolutely gorgeous ! Your garden must be an dream to walk through with all the beauty 🙂
Thank you Lynne! It brings me so much satisfaction and while it is a lot of work I love having the exercise and fresh air even if I’m pulling weeds or dead-heading. And the ever-blooming aspect is just fun!
Yes, I am sure it is a lot of work ! But, the main thing is you enjoy it and I think that really shows in your garden. x
A true labor of love, I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t garden!
Enjoy my friend. x
