Caribbean Cruise 2026 part three

The moon over the ocean is pure magic. I make it a point to get up before daybreak to catch sunrises when on a cruise.

One morning well before daylight, I got to enjoy the moon reflecting in the sea below. Mesmerized, I sat on my balcony with a steaming cup of tea and watched the sky until sunrise. I’ll never know if any other passengers were up that early to see it.

It might’ve just been me and the moon enjoying each other‘s company, sharing a moment…

As the sun came up, the moon hung over this cluster of clouds for a while longer. Stunning.

West to East Caribbean on the Sun Princess

I recently completed another cruise, this time two weeks on the newest ship in the Princess fleet, the Sun Princess. It’s a beautiful ship and is massive in size. Lots of walking onboard and off ship at several new ports plus revisiting St Thomas. Here are some of my favorite photos from sailing out of Ft Lauderdale to Mahogany Bay in Honduras, to Cozumel, Puerto Rico and St Thomas. More posts will follow, stay tuned.

Cruise Food – Dinners

As you can see from the following photos the Enchanted Princess does dinners that are delectable from starters and salads to entrees.

Cruise Food – Breakfasts

So many delicious breakfasts on my cruise, here’s a few of my favorites!

Papaya filled with chopped fruit
Cornflake-crusted French Toast
Open-face salmon and veggie sandwich
Brie sandwich with arugula, orange marmalade & walnuts – had this many times, not only for breakfast!
Bellini!

Cruise Food – Desserts

For many years, I’ve heard about food on cruises.

While I expected there to be delicious choices, the Enchanted Princess pastry chefs exceeded my expectations.

I don’t remember the names of all these, I do remember the deliciousness and artistic plating.

Chantilly Swan
Carrot Cake
Princess Love Boat Dream
Crepes Suzette
Pistachio Cream in White Chocolate Shell
Lemon Meringue Cheesecake
Italian Easter Cake with candied orange peel & Sabayon

Enchanted Princess and my first-ever cruise

I’ve recently returned from my first cruise.

I loved it!

We set sail at the end of March for a 10 day Caribbean voyage out of the Ft Lauderdale port. My traveling shipmates were my sister and brother-in-law who have cruised extensively and were my mentors from booking last fall through our final disembarkation. Their knowledge and experience made my cruise so much more enjoyable.

And we’re off!

The Enchanted Princess is a gorgeous ship. Not long after boarding, our bags arrived at our staterooms. We had upgraded to Reserve Collection Mini-Suites and I loved everything about my cabin – especially the awesome, deep bathtub – I did not expect that!

Waking up to my first morning at sea, so tranquil…

There will be more posts about this trip in coming days and for those who follow my blog, you know at least one post will be featuring the food.

The food was spectacular……
