A walkabout in my garden on the last day of April, finds signs of life everywhere, from bulbs to perennials to sprouting cilantro from last years wind-blown seeds.
While our part of Michigan has been in the seemingly unending grip of a draught, my work in the garden doesn’t end. Nearly every day I fill a wheelbarrow to overflowing with the removal of trimming and dead-heading those flowers now done with their spring and early summer showing.
Here’s a tour of my end-of-June garden….
I realize that I haven’t posted in nearly a week but I’ve been working in my garden like a woman possessed. Here’s an update of the profusion of color that is exploding in my world. It’s hard work but what a pay off, beauty abounds.
