Living the Dream in Retirement

Tennessee always has been one of my favorite Southern States. I have been down into Tennessee a number of times in the past. There is one town there that I’ve always remembered & that is Greenville, TN. Love, and always have, the great Southern Cooking like Corn Bread, Black Eyed Peas, Greens & Fixins’, and last some Tennessee Whiskey made from a still in the woods somewhere. That stuff is nasty! Burns your throat if your not used to it. The Great Smokies are always a favorite of mine. Gatlinburg is nice, but getting way to commicial for me.
I’m in love with Wears Valley, not far to anything but quiet and lovely to stay. I think I’ll now put Greenville on my list. Southern cooking is delicious!
Greenville is not like I remember it long ago. The town has changed over time, but I know I would be able to recogize places that were once there. A place called Raiders Crossing might still be there, but not sure. There is a long story about this place.
You really captured some of the beauty of Tennessee. Great post.
Thank you Geri, Tennessee is a part of my heart and soul. It’s heaven.
