Yes, I love apple season too here in Virginia….The Honeycrisp and Pink Lady are my favorites! Added bonus- about 3 miles away from the orchard I like to visit every fall here in the Shenandoah Mts.are wineries. Blenheim (owned by Dave Matthews) is always a pleasant visit….tried Trump’s wine across the road, it left a lot to be desired.
Wineries are always a plus!
I love Opal apples. And most others. The only ones I don’t like are the red delicious from the stores, because they generally are mealy and don’t have that apple crunch.
Totally agree that red delicious are mealy. Just don’t grab me. So many better ones to enjoy!
