Scenes from Europe – Part One – Switzerland & a French Farmer’s Market

A few years back, I was lucky enough to take the most amazing trip to Europe with Spence. It was one of those “bucket list” trips for me. Not Spence’s first trip there, he was in charge of making decisions about how I should experience it  – and he did not disappoint. It truly was the trip of a lifetime and I long to return there, frequently (and wistfully) scrolling through some of the 2000+ pictures I took.  It occurred to me that I’ve only featured a few of them in the blog to date.  Here are some of my favorites……encompassing scenes from Switzerland and a French Farmer’s Market.

I hope you enjoy them – stay tuned for more favorite photos from this trip in future posts….

  1. These photos are beautiful. I hope you’ve had some of them framed. It’s clear to see what an amazing trip this was. I really want to live in the little cottage at the top covered in the green and pink vines! Also, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such pretty vegetables! The radishes look like a bouquet of flowers. Looking forward to the next installment.

    1. Thank you Nancy. That Farmer’s Market was something to behold and the trip was filled with such amazing memories. And I haven’t framed them… yet but agree I need to. There are so many favorites I think I simply couldn’t decide. I’m so glad you enjoyed them.

  2. You took such great photos — I feel like I’m back there! The one of the bike on the Versoix dock is especially sweet for me. xoxo K

    1. I knew these would have meaning for you Kristin as this was from the time we spent with you and Dick. That Versoix dock picture is a favorite of mine as well. Your memories of living there must be some of the best of your life. Such a lovely place!

  3. Your wonderful pictures put an ache in my heart. I spent one wonderful year of my life backpacking through Europe twenty years ago—France and Switzerland included—and I’ve been trying to get back ever since. No success. Yet.

    1. I understand that ache. This trip was awhile ago and the desire to go back to Europe is so strong. So I’ll hope for both you and I that it’s more than a dream and shall happen…….
